Goodyear Animal Hospital and Grooming - Goodyear

The Goodyear Animal Hospital team consists of six Veterinarians, a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, Certified Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and support staff that all have you and your pets needs as our priorities. Our Veterinarians are licensed to practice in Arizona and have a combined 35 years of experience, ensuring your pet will benefit from our experience, education, and up to date veterinary care and medicine. Having six doctors on staff allows us to discuss cases and share our knowledge on a daily basis. We also are able to be fully staffed 7 days a week, so we can see you and your pet when it best fits your schedule and needs. Our staff also focuses on communication, and we have monthly meetings to ensure we are offering the best care to every client and pet. Focusing on communication allows us to meet our vision of providing compassionate, preventive, and quality medical and surgical veterinary care. All of our staff completes 60 hours or more of continuing education every year to help you make the best health care decisions for your pet. And all of our staff members are pet owners, so we understand the importance of pets in your life.

Dr. Amy Jager

I’m a typical hockey loving Canadian hailing from a small town near Toronto, Ontario. Go Leafs! I worked as a Vet Tech at a clinic before going to Veterinary school at Ross University. I did my clinical year at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Today, I’m a part of the AZPetVet family in sunny Arizona, which is definitely a change from the cooler climate of Canada!

My particular areas of interest working with companion animals include preventive medicine, surgery, and dentistry.

I live with my husband and our two dogs, Zeke and Summer. Summer is a German Shepherd, and Zeke is a rescue from the island of St. Kitts and Nevis. They definitely keep us active!

We enjoy hiking and exploring all the beauty Arizona has to offer - we’re always finding new fa-vorite spots on our journeys. I also love to go horseback riding - specifically dressage - as well as playing sports like Ultimate Frisbee and softball.

I’m excited to join the team, and I’m looking forward to meeting you and your furry family very soon!

Dr. Amy Schomburg

I was born and raised in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and graduated with a BS in Zoology (1991) and DVM (1995) from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. GO BADGERS!

I practiced small animal medicine in Seattle, Washington and Bozeman, Montana prior to moving to the Phoenix area, where I helped open Goodyear Animal Hospital in August of 2004. We have since grown into a thriving 5 doctor practice that has experience in all facets of small animal medicine and surgery. My special interests include internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, dentistry, feline medicine and senior animal care.

My family (husband and 2 kids) is active in soccer, dance, baseball and art. They also love swimming and riding bikes. Personally, I have become a boot camp regular at Lifetime Fitness and will be competing in my first (and hopefully not last) "mud run" this winter. To round out our family, we have 1 dog (Sierra), 4 cats, (Yukon Cornelius, Watermelon Kitty Kitty, Kiwi and Kitkat) a rabbit (named Fluffy) and 2 hermit crabs. I look forward to meeting you and your family!

Dr. Emily McNeilly

I was born and raised in Helena, Montana. I did my undergraduate degree at Willamette University, and my post graduate studies at Colorado State University, graduating in 2017 as a full-fledged doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

I gained many years of experience as a veterinary assistant and technician during my studies. As a part of the AZPetVet family, my special interests include behavioral modification, pain management and rehabilitation in animals.

Life at home includes my longtime partner and two cats. I hope to meet you and your pets soon!

Dr. Erin Thompson

Born and raised right here in Arizona, I received my Bachelor of Science from University of Arizona in 2002. Prior to attending veterinary school at Colorado State University, I worked as a veterinary technician for five years in the Tucson area. I'm happy to return to the desert after completing my DVM degree in 2007.

In my spare time, I love to cook, enjoy the outdoors with my husband and our golden retriever Cody, as well as cuddle with my two kitties, Sarah and Pidge. I was very excited to join the team here at Goodyear in 2013 and look forward to the years to come.

Dr. Jenna Lanagan

I have lived in Arizona essentially my entire life. I grew up in Pinetop, Arizona a small town in the White Mountains. I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona (Bear Down!). I completed veterinary school at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts, and my clinical year at Texas A&M (Gig’em Aggies!). After completing my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree I made my journey back home to beautiful Arizona. My professional interests include dentistry, radiology and ultrasound. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, swimming, spending time with my niece, traveling, and adventures with the newest addition to my life my dog, Kiara!

Dr. Kelsey Bradley

I was born and raised in St. Louis (Go [baseball] Cardinals!) and then moved to the Kansas City area during high school. I spent seven years in Manhattan, KS completing my undergraduate and veterinary degrees at Kanas State University. EMAW!!! After graduation, I was ready to venture out of the Midwest and landed in sunny Arizona. My veterinary interest include ophthalmology, preventative medicine, and surgery. When I'm not in the clinic. I enjoy the outdoors and staying active by hiking, rock climbing, and playing ultimate Frisbee. I also enjoy painting, cooking, and playing the ukulele. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members soon!

Dr. Kelsey Ledbetter

I was and raised in Peoria, Arizona – in fact, I am a member of one of Arizona’s Founding Families – my ancestors moved West before Arizona was a recognized state. I started working as a Kennel Tech in high school, and shadowed a number of vets during my time in college to learn as I worked.

I did my undergraduate degree at University of Arizona, graduating in 2013. I attended Veterinary school at Oklahoma State, graduating as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. My areas of specific interest are Dentistry and Chiropractic for animals.

My husband and I have two horses, Mandy and Splash, and two dogs, Pixie and Roux. My hobbies are horses, horses, horses! I regularly compete in the three-day events, which are the triathlons of the equine world. They’re challenging and lots of fun.

As a new member of the AZPetVet family, I’m looking forward to getting to know our pet patients. See you at Goodyear!

Dr. Megan Tuttle

Although I was born in Boulder, CO, I've lived in Arizona most of my life. I received my Bachelor of Science at the University of Arizona in 2004 (Go Wildcats!) and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in May of 2008. During my time in Colorado I realized I missed Arizona and wanted to return here to practice veterinary medicine. My professional interests include dentistry, internal medicine, dermatology and soft tissue surgery. In my spare time I enjoy participating in triathlons, watching live music, and traveling with my husband, Andrew. In 2014 we welcomed our first 2 legged addition, Beckett Anthony, and my 4 legged family includes my Border Collie mix Dixie, a scruffy Terrier mix named Sophie, a Heeler mix Holly, and a Ragdoll cat named Tula. I look forward to caring for your four-legged family soon!

Dr. Rebecca Johnson

Dr. Rebecca Johnson graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts in 2007. She grew up in Rochester, NY, and in 2000, received her BA in Art History and Psychology from Rice University in Houston, TX. After spending many long, dark winters in the northeast, Dr. Johnson and her husband decided that they had shoveled themselves out of their last blizzard and set their sights on warmer climates. They both enjoy hiking and outdoor sports, and they are excited to explore Phoenix and the surrounding areas. At home, Dr. Johnson spends her free time reading, cooking, and reading about cooking. She and her husband live with two adorable mutts, Sparkle and Wrigley, whose favorite activities include sleeping on the couch and protecting the house from rogue squirrels.
