The Norterra Animal Hospital team consists of two veterinarians, an office manager, and numerous support staff including veterinary technicians, assistants and receptionists that all have you and your pets needs as their priorities. Our veterinarians are licensed to practice in Arizona and have a combined over 15 years of experience, ensuring your pet will benefit from our experience, education, and up to date veterinary care and medicine. Having multiple doctors on staff allows us to discuss cases and share our knowledge on a daily basis. We also have extremely flexible office hours, so we can see you and your pet when it best fits your schedule and needs. As a team, we also focus on communication and have regular meetings to ensure we are offering the best care to every client and pet. Focusing on communication in order to provide excellent customer service is one of our core values and allows us to help you make the best health care decisions for your pet. Additionally, all of our staff members are pet owners, so we understand the importance of pets in your life.

Dr. Michelle Horvath

I was born in Paterson, New Jersey and grew up in Glendale, Arizona. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona. I completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University in 2001. I live in Anthem with my husband, Tony, three dogs, two cats, and two snakes.

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. We like hiking and walking the dogs. My most recent hobby is scuba diving. I recently vacationed in the Galapagos Islands, where I was exposed to diving and became certified.

Dr. Amanda (Swogger) Simonson

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. I then earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in May 2003. I came to Norterra Animal Hospital with a strong commitment to helping people and their pets live long healthy lives together. In May 2011, I completed my certification for veterinary medical acupuncture, also from Colorado State University. We are very excited to be able to help more pets by offering this unique therapy. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends which includes my husband and two stepchildren as well as our dog named Maggie and my Morgan horse named Fiera.

Dr. Aubrielle Willams

Aubrielle Williams was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Colorado State University-Pueblo after accepting a soccer scholarship, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in May 2016 after completing her clinical training at Colorado State University. In September 2016, Dr. Williams completed her certification to practice veterinary medical acupuncture. She is excited to be able to offer this additional therapy to people and their pets with Dr. Simonson.

Dr. Williams loves to be outdoors (hiking, playing soccer, scuba diving, snowboarding), traveling and spending time with her fiance, family, friends and her two dogs named Dustin and Chloe.

Dr. Jason Gold

Dr. Jason Gold was born in south Jersey, and grew up in south Florida. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology from University of Florida in 1997. He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University in 2001, followed by his clinical training at Purdue. He practiced veterinary medicine in Long Island until 2005 before moving to Arizona. Dr. Gold's special interests are in preventative and internal medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Gold enjoys exercising, spending time with his fiance and daughter, using the Force to battle storm troopers, and trying out exotic foods from galaxies far, far away. He also enjoys taking care of his puggles, Ginger and Gill.
